About this role

Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas providing corporate and investment banking and capital markets services. The Corporate Finance Advisory Analyst will support analytical and strategic financial advisory for corporate clients by developing financial models, presentations, and data-driven insights across capital raising, M&A, valuation, capital structure, and shareholder strategy.

What you'll do:

  • Evaluate the strategic and financial needs of corporate clients and develop tailored solutions to address them
  • Synthesize company, industry, and market data to generate differentiated ideas and identify new business opportunities
  • Apply both equity and credit perspectives to provide thoughtful, balanced recommendations and inform due diligence
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality work with strong attention to detail
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and collaborate across stakeholders throughout the banking and capital markets platform
  • Support deal sourcing and execution through rigorous fundamental analysis, capital markets insights, scenario modeling, and client-ready presentation materials

What they're looking for:

  • You have an undergraduate or graduate Degree in Business, Finance, Science, Technology, Engineering, Economics or Mathematics discipline or related fields to be completed between December 2026 and July 2027
  • You have a demonstrated interest and knowledge of the financial markets
  • You have a proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • You work seamlessly within MS Office Suite with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have strong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting, and financial theory
  • You are a team player with strong interpersonal skills
