2027 - Cyber Security Engineer (Air Systems) - Hunt Valley, MD

Textron Systems serves defense and commercial customers through specialized capabilities in air, land, sea, propulsion, weapon systems, electronic systems, and test, training, and simulation. The entry-level Cyber Security Engineer will develop autonomy solutions, apply machine learning and vision technologies to unmanned platforms, and design, simulate, construct, and field-test autonomous vehicles and subsystems.

What you'll do:

• Developing autonomy solutions
• Apply machine learning, vision, and other emerging technologies to enhance our unmanned platforms
• Designing, simulating, constructing, and field-testing autonomous vehicles and their subsystems

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's, master's, and PhD in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering with focus in robotics or autonomy
• Intelligence and machine learning applications
• Helping machines perceive their environment, using vision or other methods
• Teamed or multiagent autonomous vehicle simulations (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink or Gazebo)
• Fabricating or designing air, land, or sea-based robots
• This position requires an individual to be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
• (Preferable) Controls, multiagent autonomy, robotic middleware such as ROS, PX4, ArduPilot, or MOOS-IvP, and simulation environments such as ANSYS or Unreal
