2027 Cybersecurity Intern

SimVentions is an employee-owned technology company offering students an immersive, hands-on internship experience. The Cybersecurity Intern will support security monitoring, vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, and security control implementation while gaining experience with cybersecurity tools, policies, and practices.

What you'll do:

• Support cybersecurity initiatives involving security monitoring, vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, and implementation of security controls. Gain hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, policies, and practices while working with experienced security professionals

What they're looking for:

• All applicants must have completed their Freshman year of college and not yet graduated by the beginning of the summer internship period (i.e., must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior)
• • Completed Freshman year of college by the start of the internship (must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior)
• • Enrolled in a relevant degree program such as systems engineering, software engineering, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field
• • Strong interest in technology, innovation, and problem-solving
• • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
• • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• • A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude with a commitment to personal and professional growth
• Priority consideration will be given to returning interns and students pursuing degrees that align with our core technical areas
• Students pursuing degrees in other fields may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• • Previous experience or coursework in cybersecurity is a plus
