2027 Electrical Engineer Intern / Co-op

LyondellBasell is a global chemical industry company developing and manufacturing polymers and polyolefin technologies. The Electrical Engineer Co-op/Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting control systems, process instrumentation, electrical systems, safety systems, analyzers, and high-voltage equipment while contributing to operational efficiency and reliability.

What you'll do:

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot control schemes that drive our processes
• Create and refine process models for predictive control systems
• Troubleshoot, engineer, and improve process measurement instrumentation, control systems, safety systems, and analyzers
• Provide daily technical support for instrumentation and electrical (I&E) or control systems
• Collaborate with electrical technicians to troubleshoot problems and perform equipment repairs
• Continuously evaluate the electrical system and plan for expansion and reliability improvements

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree from an accredited university
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status
