2027 Firmware Engineering Co-Op

Mercury Systems is a technology company providing processing solutions for aerospace and defense missions. The Firmware Engineering Co-Op will design, develop, integrate, and test firmware and software solutions for embedded systems while supporting firmware testing, infrastructure, product bring-up, and system-level validation.

What you'll do:

• Design, implement, and test Firmware based applications
• Develop and maintain firmware test suites to verify system capabilities and requirements
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance and support test infrastructure
• Support design teams in bring-up and system-level validation of products

What they're looking for:

• Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related technical discipline
• A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required
• Knowledge of VHDL or Verilog Hardware Description Languages (HDL)
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• This position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations. You may only access such information if you are a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. government
• Prior firmware/software intern or co-op experience
