About this role

Mercury Systems is a technology company developing processing solutions for aerospace, defense, and intelligence missions. The Hardware Electrical Engineer Intern will support the design, development, testing, verification, debugging, and documentation of hardware products across the full development lifecycle.

What you'll do:

  • Support of the design development and test of hardware products from concept to completion
  • Work side-by-side with experienced electrical engineers to design and verify state-of-the-art technology for commercial, defense and intelligence applications
  • Execute lab design verification test (DVT) and debug
  • Participate in the development and specification of new product HW/SW platform architectures
  • Support detailed design specifications, test plans, and verification reports
  • Support schematic development using Cadence DEHDL (Concept)

What they're looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or computer engineering or a related technical discipline
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required
  • Basic understanding of high-speed digital and analog circuitry, power management, and electromagnetic interference (EMI)
  • General knowledge of electronic schematic tools (e.g., Allegro Design Entry HDL, Mentor Graphics/DXDesigner)
  • Familiarity with digital test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment

  • Exposure to conventional and advanced manufacturing techniques
  • Hands-on lab experience including soldering or rework equipment
  • Prior internship, co-op, or academic project experience related to hardware design or testing
