About this role
Textron Systems develops specialized products and services across air, land, sea, propulsion, weapon systems, electronic systems, and test, training, and simulation capabilities. The Financial Analyst Intern will support program finance through financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, cost projections, earned value reporting, and the preparation of financial reports for management and business functions.
What you'll do:
- Conduct analysis, maintain forecasts, and provide Estimate at Completion (EACs) for Textron Systems
- Participate in projects relating to monthly budgets, cost projections, and sales and profit estimates, in addition to various Earned Value reports
- Maintain program measurement control systems
- Create and maintain standard financial reports for the finance team and other functions within the business
- Provide day-to-day support to the program finance team
- Establish and maintain baselines and EACs in the Earned Value tool (MPM)
- Analyze program trend data for Estimate to Complete (ETC) validity checks
- Provide real time information to management regarding EAC swings, program updates
- Other duties as assigned
What they're looking for:
- Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field and/or less than 2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with management
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Self-starter with the ability to assimilate data into reports
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with other Finance and Accounting functions
