About this role
IBM is a global technology and consulting company focused on hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. The Marketing Data Science & Data Analytics Intern will support the Performance Intelligence team by developing scalable analytical solutions, analyzing complex datasets, and conducting end-to-end research and analysis for strategic marketing challenges.
What you'll do:
- Develop scalable analytical solutions that provide data-driven and optimization insights
- Work with large, complex data sets and extract knowledge or insights to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed
- Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes industry research, data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations
What they're looking for:
- This role is for an internship in Summer 2027. The Internship is expected to start on Monday, May 24th with an end date of Friday, August 13th. Candidates must be available to start and end on these days
- High School Diploma/GED
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, data science, computer science, behavioral science, applied mathematics, operations research) or another discipline involving experimental design and quantitative analysis of data
- Available for an internship in Summer 2027
- Completing your degree program between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028
- Experience using technology to work with datasets such as Scripting, Python, statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R, or similar)
- Experience with statistical analysis such as linear models, multivariate analysis, clustering, time series, mixed model, and Bayesian methods
- Data Visualization Tools (PowerBI, Tableau,etc)
- Data warehousing and ETFL
- Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills
- This position will be required to come into the office at least three days per week
- This role is based in New York City
