The MetLife Investment Management (MIM) Analyst Program is an early-career opportunity for graduating students interested in building a career in institutional asset management. Analysts contribute to teams serving MetLife and institutional clients worldwide, supporting investment activities across areas such as public fixed income, private credit, real estate, insurance asset management, client solutions, and investment operations.
Through meaningful assignments, on-the-job learning, mentorship, and access to experienced investment professionals and leaders, analysts develop financial, analytical, technical, and communication skills while helping MIM deliver thoughtful, risk-managed investment solutions. Assignments vary by team and may include investment research, financial modeling, portfolio analysis, transaction support, client reporting, data management, and process improvement.

- Conduct market, industry, issuer, security, portfolio, or transaction analysis to support investment recommendations and informed decision-making.
- Build and maintain financial models, portfolio analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools to evaluate performance, risk, cash flows, exposures, and relative-value opportunities.
- Support portfolio construction, asset allocation, trade evaluation, underwriting, due diligence, investment committee materials, or transaction execution based on the assigned MIM team.
- Prepare accurate, client-ready presentations, portfolio reviews, market commentary, and performance reporting for portfolio managers, senior leaders, investment committees, and institutional clients.
- Monitor portfolios, investment activity, guidelines, data quality, and market developments; investigate discrepancies and communicate risks, trends, and opportunities to relevant partners.
- Collaborate with professionals across portfolio management, research, trading, client teams, risk, operations, technology, legal, compliance, and finance to deliver investment and business initiatives.
- Use data, automation, visualization, and AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve analysis, reporting, controls, and operational efficiency.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Real Estate, Data Analytics, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date of June 2027.
- Demonstrated interest in institutional investing, asset management, financial markets, credit, real estate, portfolio management, or investment operations.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, research, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex analysis into clear conclusions and professional materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including experience analyzing data and presenting findings.
- Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Prior internship, work, or academic experience in investment management, banking, insurance, credit analysis, real estate, financial modeling, portfolio analytics, or related fields.
- Coursework or experience with accounting, valuation, fixed income, statistics, economics, programming, or data visualization.
- Familiarity with investment and analytical platforms such as Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
- Interest in pursuing relevant professional development or credentials, such as the CFA Program.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
