2027 Portfolio Finance Summer Analyst

AQR Capital Management is a global investment firm focused on systematic investing and rigorous financial research. The Portfolio Finance Summer Analyst will support financing, clearing, and cash management activities across global markets by analyzing datasets, monitoring liquidity, and collaborating with investment and technology teams.

What you'll do:

• Work with large datasets across a range of asset classes and investment strategies to monitor and optimize AQR’s large financing and clearing footprint
• Develop a working knowledge of the capabilities major financial institutions employ to support the different needs of investment management firms
• Gain exposure to the investment and management of cash and cash-equivalent instruments across global portfolios under internal and external constraints
• Collaborate with financing specialists, traders, portfolio managers, researchers, and technologists on projects spanning the investment process

What they're looking for:

• December 2027 or Spring 2028 graduate in a quantitative field (e.g. Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, etc.) with a desire to work in the financial services industry
• Pursuing either a Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Exceptional problem solving and quantitative skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to intellectual integrity, self-drive, maturity, and ability to collaborate
• Detail-orientation, ability to multi-task
• Strong technical aptitude, programming language fluency is not required, knowledge of Python, SQL, MS Excel is a plus
