Barclays is a global banking organization with a risk division that supports transactions, products, services, and business decisions across its operations. The Risk Analyst Summer Intern will support risk monitoring, identification, management, research, reporting, and decision-making while collaborating with cross-functional teams and developing risk management expertise.

What you'll do:

• Execution of small research projects to support risk identification and strategic decision making. Prepare presentations and reports to communicate the findings to senior management
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
• Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
• Identification and management of risks including reviewing and challenging business propositions
• Management of business and client relationships under steadily decreasing supervision
• Support of risk management and decision making by using financial models and strategies
• To perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement
• Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in their assigned area of expertise
• Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise
• They lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements and coordinating team resources

What they're looking for:

• To be eligible for this opportunity, you must be graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 and have a GPA of 3.2 or above
• You should also have completed coursework in, or have experience with, Python, R, SQL, SAS, Power BI, Databricks, or another data programming language
• The location for this role is indicated in the job title, and you will be based at that location
