About this role

The Aerospace Corporation is a federally funded research and development center and trusted partner to the nation’s space programs. The company is seeking a Signal Processing and Artificial Intelligence Engineer to work on engineering projects involving signal processing, digital communications, and machine learning, while contributing to interdisciplinary research, documenting technical work, and supporting research and development initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • Mix of engineering projects related to signal processing, digital communications, and/or machine learning
  • Participates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners
  • Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks
  • Document work products in briefings and/or technical reports to customers and colleagues
  • Opportunities to propose and carry out internal R&D projects, engage in field work, and publish in conferences and journals
  • Training and mentorship will be provided

  • * Possess organizational, time management and project management skills
  • * Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational need
  • * Interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
  • * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university program in Electrical Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related technical discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
  • * Relevant academic or prior internship work experience
  • * Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • * Strong coding skills in Python or C++
  • * Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)  and Linux environments
  • * Minimum 3.0 GPA
