2027 Spring Electrical Engineer (Controls, PCB) Co-op BS or MS (Gloucester, MA)

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductor chips and advanced displays. The company is seeking a Spring 2027 Electrical Engineer Co-op to support hardware design and improvements for PCBs through documentation, circuit design and testing, laboratory organization, and analysis with senior engineers.

What you'll do:

• Assist will electronic and system documentation
• Assist in soldering and un-soldering components on PCBs
• Learn schematic capture and fundamentals of PCB design
• Analyze problems along with more Senior Engineers
• Organize and maintain our Electronics lab
• Use test equipment to gather important data
• Design and test various circuits
• Co-op begins in January 2027, on-site at our Gloucester location

What they're looking for:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Strong academic standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and challenges
• Previous experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing is preferred
