PIMCO is a global leader in active fixed income and investment management. The Account Analyst Intern will support Account Associates and client servicing teams in delivering timely, high-quality service across investment strategies, while gaining exposure to economic and market analysis, portfolio structures, performance attribution, client reporting, data automation, and AI-enabled tools.

What you'll do:

  • As an Account Analyst intern, you’ll work alongside Account Associates and broader client servicing teams to support timely, high-quality service across a range of investment strategies
  • You’ll gain exposure to economic and market analysis, portfolio structures, performance attribution, client reporting, and the ways data, automation, and AI-enabled tools help improve workflows and generate insights
  • Throughout the summer, you’ll build relationships across teams, strengthen your analytical and communication skills, and gain a strong foundation for a potential long-term career in client management, product strategy, or other client-facing roles
  • During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success
  • Alongside your colleagues, participate in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of our employees' worldwide volunteer efforts
  • Join us for a variety of cross-divisional education, networking & social events!
  • You will build future-ready skills by using AI-powered tools from day one, supported by training that strengthens critical thinking, analytical capabilities, and professional judgment
  • You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals

What they're looking for:

  • Are an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028
  • Must be able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028
  • Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Are business proficient in English
  • All majors encouraged to apply
  • Have a strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Build strong relationships and enjoy collaborating across teams
  • Take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Bring professionalism, accountability, humility, and sound judgment to your work
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and an interest in using data, automation, and AI-enabled tools to solve problems and improve outcomes
