About this role
PIMCO is a global leader in active fixed income and investment management. The Consultant Relations Group Analyst intern will support relationships with investment consultants and client-facing teams by analyzing market and performance data, researching investment products, preparing reports, and providing timely insights.
What you'll do:
- Analyze performance data, market trends, and investment strategies to support insights that can be communicated to consultants and clients
- Conduct research on investment products and market conditions to help inform consultant relations strategy and presentations
- Help prepare reports and updates for Account Managers that summarize PIMCO’s investment performance, strategy changes, and market outlook
- Stay informed about market developments and trends to provide timely insights that can be shared with consultants
- Partner with teams across PIMCO to gather information and support a cohesive consultant relations approach
- Manage multiple priorities with urgency, sound judgment, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
What they're looking for:
- Are pursuing an undergraduate degree and will be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027)
- Must be able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028
- Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent, at an accredited 4-year college or university
- Are business proficient in English
- Have a strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance
- Bring a client service mindset and a strong sense of urgency when responding to requests
- Can gather, analyze, and discuss market trends and data clearly and professionally
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and build rapport with team members and consultants
- Are collaborative, organized, adaptable, accountable, and attentive to detail
- Take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, professional environment
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a demonstrated interest in using data, automation, and AI-enabled tools to solve problems and improve outcomes
- The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program
