About this role

The 2027 Summer Intern - Financial Risk will support investment, capital markets, asset-liability management, and product-related risk initiatives through reporting, analysis, stress testing, strategic projects, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do:
- Partner with Actuarial, Treasury, Hedging, and Investment teams on key projects and initiatives that advance business and capital objectives
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting activities to help meet team priorities and business needs
- Participate in projects related to risk management, stress testing, and business strategy
- Deliver a presentation summarizing key findings and recommendations to Risk senior leadership
- Explore innovative solutions and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to drive efficiency and enhance team capabilities
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative discussions
What they're looking for:
- Rising junior or senior in undergraduate/graduate program
- Finance, Mathematical, Statistics, Economics, Risk, or Business background
- Basic knowledge of financial instruments and models
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to work independently while receiving guidance and mentorship from senior team members
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high level of precision
- Adapts and learns: Actively learns and adapts through experimentation when tackling new problems and situations, using both successes and failures to develop and learn
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, project, groups or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritize and time allocation
- Critical Thinking: Assessing information and circumstances to identify solutions and make informed decisions
- Cross Collaboration: Works effectively across teams and functions to build strong partnerships, share knowledge, and contribute to achieving shared business objectives
- Exposure to programming, data analytics, or automation tools through coursework, projects, or prior experience
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and the ability to leverage them responsibly to enhance research, analysis, and productivity
