2027 Summer Intern: Human Resources - Spectrum News

Spectrum News is a news and media organization within the Spectrum brand. The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team as a strategic partner to newsroom leaders and liaison across recruiting, finance, payroll, and development, while gaining hands-on experience with employee lifecycle initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Assist with onboarding and orientation activities for new hires, support learning & development initiatives, compile HR metrics and prepare reports using MS Office tools, research industry trends and best practices, provide administrative support for the HR team and assist with special projects

What they're looking for:

• This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
• • Must be a Master's student with an expected graduation date of May 2028
• • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Master's degree
• • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
• • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
• • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
• • Strong organizational and project management skills
• • Excellent written and verbal communication
• • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• • Ability to handle confidential information
• • Interest in the employee experience, organizational development, and talent development
