2027 Summer Intern: Property Tax Accountant - Corporate

Spectrum is a telecommunications company offering connectivity and entertainment products and services. The Property Tax Accountant Intern will gain experience in a corporate property tax environment by supporting compliance, controversy, accounting, planning, assessments, budgeting, inquiries, and audits.

What you'll do:

• Gain familiarity with property tax in a large corporate environment. Projects will include assisting with property tax compliance, controversy, accounting and planning
• Property tax interns will work with team members in analyzing property tax assessments, ensuring property tax bills are paid timely, assist with the annual property tax budget process, respond to inquiries from property tax collectors and assessors and support the audit team with any ongoing property tax audits

What they're looking for:

• Must be a rising junior or rising senior with an expected graduation date between of May 2028 to May 2029
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor's degree
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
• Interested in learning about property tax
• Understanding of basic accounting concepts
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
• Strong research, analytical, interpretation, and presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Works well independently or within a group
• Adapts quickly to unexpected/changing conditions
• Assists others to effectively handle new situations
