2027 Summer Internship – Engineering

Victaulic offers a three-month summer internship program providing students with real-world experience in engineering and related fields. The intern will work with supervisors and team members, take ownership of impactful projects, and contribute to engineering, product development, manufacturing, testing, automation, and process improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Create 3D virtual models of piping installations for testing purposes
• Product development and testing related to fire suppression systems
• Develop hand and machine tools for cutting and roll forming of pipe
• Develop power electronics and embedded controls for machine tools
• Product assembly and operations related to fire suppression systems
• Focus on Lean Manufacturing initiatives, process improvement, and Kanban
• Product development of insulation methods used in piping installations
• Control output of fluid in piping systems with use of company products
• Performance enhancements for existing products to increase efficiency
• Design and provide pre-assembled piping installation systems to solve customer issues
• Customer support and root cause analysis for product issues
• Product testing in the Research & Development Lab

What they're looking for:

• Major: Pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering or an engineering related field relevant to the department of interest
• Class year: Must be at minimum rising into Junior year in college
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in and ability to contribute to a team environment
