2027 Summer Internship - Human Resources - Site Locations

Freeport-McMoRan offers paid summer internship opportunities for students and recent graduates across its North American operations. The Human Resources Intern will support site-based HR projects, investigations, counseling processes, arbitration preparation, and administrative initiatives under general supervision.

What you'll do:

• Assist with various HR projects
• Assist with the investigation and counseling process
• Assist in the preparation for problem solving and arbitration proceedings
• Work with the HR administration team on various projects
• Perform other duties as required

What they're looking for:

• Our internship program is designed for full-time students currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university and recent graduates in North America
• This position is not eligible for Freeport-McMoRan immigration work visa sponsorship
• Currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university pursuing a degree, bachelor's or higher, majoring in an appropriate Human Resources or Business discipline or closely related field; OR
• Recent college graduate (within 12 months prior to internship start date) with a degree in Human Resources, Business or closely related field
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Possesses strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
• Highly accurate and detail oriented
• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to understand, apply and communicate verbal and written work and safety-related instructions, procedures, job assignments and applicable safety standards in English
• Must be able to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
