About this role
Airbus manufactures advanced aircraft components and provides internship opportunities in aerospace manufacturing. The Operations Analyst Intern will analyze expenditures and management processes, develop cost-reduction strategies, optimize inventory tracking, and provide implementation recommendations for the Support Operations Team.
What you'll do:
- Analyze historical expenditures to identify cost drivers and inefficiencies
- Assess current management processes and benchmark processes in the different facilities (ordering, distribution, usage tracking) and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and propose a cost reduction strategy (e.g., optimized procurement, better allocation, waste reduction initiatives)
- Create a tracking system to monitor consumption and optimize stock levels
- Deliver recommendations and implementation guidelines to ensure sustainability of the cost reduction strategy
- Other duties as assigned
What they're looking for:
- Willing to temporarily live in Kinston, NC during the internship
- Must be enrolled in an applicable program at an accredited University
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written
- Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft applications, strong knowledge of technical terms
- Authorized to Work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship
- Able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings
- Able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms
- Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications
- Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts
- Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
- Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
- Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools
