About this role

Solidigm is a global memory technology company developing data storage solutions. The company is seeking undergraduate interns to support software development, firmware engineering, back-end systems, AI-assisted programming, and data analysis for data center SSD products. Interns will design and maintain engineering tools, contribute to firmware and debugging workflows, analyze data, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software tools, applications, or back-end systems that support engineering workflows and product development
  • Contribute to firmware features, tools, test environments, or debug workflows for SSD and storage-related technologies
  • Apply Python, C/C++, or other programming languages, including AI-assisted programming tools, to build scripts, services, or automation that improve engineering efficiency
  • Support data analysis efforts, including analyzing engineering data, logs, or performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Troubleshoot and debug software or firmware issues; reproduce problems and assist with root-cause analysis
  • Work in Linux-based development environments to build, test, and deploy software or firmware
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including software, firmware, data science, and product engineering
  • Create clear documentation for tools, code, workflows, and project deliverables

What they're looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience with Python, C, C++, or another programming language
  • Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a technical team environment
  • Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn
  • This role is not eligible for candidates requiring VISA sponsorship
  • Experience with firmware development, embedded software, device drivers, or low-level systems programming
  • Familiarity with SSDs, NAND flash, NVMe, PCIe, or storage systems
  • Experience with back-end development, APIs, or service-oriented architecture
  • Exposure to AI-assisted programming tools, AI/ML concepts, or applied machine learning workflows
  • Experience with data analysis, scripting, or automation

Benefits:

  • Gain hands-on experience with software development, back-end systems, AI-assisted programming, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop practical skills in coding, debugging, and technical communication.
  • Present your work, receive feedback, and contribute to solutions that may influence future products.
  • Grow your professional network through mentorship, team engagement, and intern program activities.
