Compensation

Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Department: Operating Room G-Wing

Position Summary

Summary:
The trained member of the Perioperative Services staff who performs specified Operating Room tasks under the direction of the Nurse Managers and the Assistant Nurse Managers for the Operating Room. He/She assists the Perioperative Nursing Team in providing a surgically safe environment for each patient by assuring the availability of all surgical supplies and equipment for every case daily. This includes receiving, storage of stock items and distribution in accordance to the policies and procedures of the Operating Room.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:
Education Required
• Must complete in-house orientation program
• High school graduation or equivalent required.

Experience And Skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Speaks, reads and writes English
• Clinical experience and/or skills as relevant to area of practice.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Frequent, prolonged standing/walking, bending and crouching.
• Heavy lifting (50lbs), able to use a hand truck and pallet jack
• Protective clothing worn: face shields, gloves, impermeable gown, and particulate respirator.
