Job Duties:
- The Child Welfare Services Case Worker Assistant provide services to remedy abuse, neglect and exploitations of self neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Case Worker Assistant will assist Case Worker I with providing casework services. Working hours will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Provide or arrange transportation to resources in the community as part of the social service side plan.
- Participate as a member of professional team to plan services clients.
- Make requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement, etc. records.
- Make referrals to service providers, family group conferencing, Seneca Search, etc.
- Assist with the completion of various packets within the agency.
- Assist with the transportation of children.
- Assist with child and family visitation and teach appropriate parenting and household management skills.
- Assist with other administrative support functions to include drafting correspondences, copying, faxing, email, etc.
- To ensure personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
- Participate in Red Cross training and shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Position Duties
A High School Diploma and three (3) years of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business.
An Associate Degree and two (2) years of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business.
A Bachelor's Degree or higher may be substituted for part or all of work experience.
