About this role
Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is conducting a search for a full-time Abdominal Core Health & Metabolic Surgeon to join the Department of Surgery.
We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible general surgeon who has completed fellowship training in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery. Working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team of physicians and allied health professionals, the successful candidate will help grow and advance our established practice in the management of complex abdominal wall hernias using open, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches. The surgeon’s clinical practice will also include bariatric surgery. Prior experience in these areas is preferred.
The position offers significant opportunities for involvement in surgical education, including teaching within the Advanced GI and Hernia & Abdominal Wall Surgery Fellowship and the ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency Program.

License or Certification Requirements
Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery and have completed fellowship training in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery. Candidates must also be credentialed in robotic surgery and eligible for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota.
