Account Assistant/Payable

MANA Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas is an independent, physician-owned healthcare organization providing comprehensive medical services. The Accounting Assistant/Payable position performs accounting functions, including accounts payable, reconciliations, journal entries, invoicing, expense allocation, and financial reporting support.

What you'll do:

• Ensure that payments to vendors are made on a timely basis in accordance with contract or purchase order term and conditions
• Ensure that all invoices are coded accurately
• Coordinate routine activities with the Purchasing Department as required
• Demonstrate preciseness, fairness and attention to detail in working with vendors and managing clinic accounts. Prepare monthly production schedules for assigned companies
• Prepare and allocate monthly administrative expenses
• Prepare bank reconciliations for assigned companies and post journal entries as needed
• Research and prepare monthly external accounts receivable invoices
• Update monthly reports for physicians
• Demonstrate willingness to accept new job responsibilities with minimum notice and to work under condition of moderate stress
• Works closely with Accounting Supervisor
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

What they're looking for:

• Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc
• Equivalent to a four year college degree
