Accountant 1 - Finance/Accounting

SkyWater Technology manufactures semiconductors and is hiring an Accountant to support accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end close. The role also supports audit work and reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

What you'll do:

• Responsible for accounts payables (AP) invoice processing on 2 and 3-way match purchases, emails and credit card analysis
• Analyze weekly AP invoice on hold report
• Compile and monitor AP Aging Report
• Forecasting of weekly payment registers
• Work with Procurement or suppliers to resolve invoice/purchase order discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries and accruals for assigned accounts
• Assist in reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and variances analysis to identify/research/resolve unusual balances
• Assist in annual external audit
• Special projects as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Associates's Degree in Accounting
• 1 to 2 years of accounting experience
• Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including SOX Controls
• Ability to work with all levels of management and operational groups
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of the functionality of Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, Vlookups, etc

• Familiar with NetSuite ERP system
• Familiar with general ledger entries and accounting principles
