Accountant

Clampco Products, Inc. is a manufacturer of heavy-duty stainless-steel clamps and strap assemblies serving multiple industrial markets. The Accountant will support the Controller with day-to-day accounting operations, financial record maintenance, month-end close, reporting, reconciliations, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting. The role will also contribute to ERP system improvements, process streamlining, internal controls, and broader finance initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Perform a variety of accounting tasks including preparing and maintaining accounting records and preparing financial, statistical, and/or technical reports
• Assist in implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Maintain the chart of accounts and accounting structures
• Complete journal entries/account reconciliations and general ledger adjustments
• Support Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable functions
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Assist in analyzing Profit & Loss variances and provide supporting explanations
• Assist in monitoring and analyzing standard costing variances (labor, material, and overhead)
• Assist in reviewing variances prior to work order closure and communicate findings to appropriate personnel
• Prepare and maintain 13-week cash flow forecast
• Support system and process improvements within the finance function
• Audit accounting records and other reports for accuracy and conformance to procedures

What they're looking for:

• • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• • 1 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• • Through understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
• • Experience with ERP systems preferred
