Accountant

Janie and Jack is a renowned children's brand known for its exceptional quality and attention to detail. The Accountant position involves supporting the accounting team with month-end close procedures, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

• Prepare journal entries and related supporting schedules
• Assist with month-end close procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and flux analysis
• Support documentation requests for financial reporting and audit
• Assist with identifying and implementing process improvements
• Help establish and maintain financial policies and procedures to support new business activities and new reporting requirements
• Perform special ad-hoc projects as needed

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
• 1-2 years of general ledger experience
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, sum-ifs, formatting worksheets, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Strong communicative skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to prioritize assignments to meet critical deadlines
• Big 4 Accounting experience is a plus
