Accountant

Trademark Metals Recycling - A Nucor Company is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for general ledger accounting, month-end closing, financial report preparation, and ensuring compliance with safety policies.

What you'll do:

• Demonstrate knowledge in general ledger accounting
• Month-end closing and financial report preparation
• Computer skills including advanced use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Internal control processes
• Problem solving and root cause analysis
• Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards

What they're looking for:

• 4-year degree in Accounting or related field (OR) 2-year degree in Accounting or related field and 1 years relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
• Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge in general ledger accounting
• Month-end closing and financial report preparation
• Internal control processes
• Problem solving and root cause analysis
• Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S
• Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
• Two or more years of Accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Five or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, or financial reporting
