Accountant

Western Alliance Bank is seeking an Accountant to assist with accounting and financial reporting. The role supports SEC and regulatory reporting, month-end and annual close activities, legal entity accounting, reconciliations, transaction analysis, and compliance with SOX and applicable banking regulations.

What you'll do:

• Prepare financial schedules and analysis that comprise SEC and regulatory reporting
• Prepare journal entry supporting documentation as part of the month-end, quarter-end and annual close process
• Provide support to all assigned areas in the Accounting Department where service or assistance is needed
• Support legal entity accounting, including application of customer payments and revenue recognition
• Interface with management, external auditors and regulatory agencies concerning accounting and SOX requirements

What they're looking for:

• 1+ years of related experience in Accounting, Finance (GL Mgmt., Public Reporting, Analysis) or similar field
• Bachelor's degree in related field required
• Introductory knowledge of applicable SEC rules and regulations
• Intermediate understanding of GAAP and Financial Reporting
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills
• Masters or MBA in related field preferred
