Accountant, Entry Level

Anderson Communities is hiring an entry-level accountant to support its financial operations. The role manages invoices and financial records, assists with accounting activities and period-end closing, and helps resolve billing issues and improve processes.

What you'll do:

• Create customer invoices, ensure proper coding and post payments for multiple entities and vendors
• Research and resolve issues; maintain strong relationships with vendors
• Monitor and audit accounts, provide status and activity reports
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• This is **not** a "Collections" role

• You possess a strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• You have a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• You are organized, dependable, and take pride in ensuring financial records and customer invoices are accurate and completed in a timely manner
• You are comfortable working with numbers, reviewing billing information, and resolving discrepancies as they arise
• You are proficient in MS Excel
• You have the ability to work independently and as part of our amazing team
• You are eager to learn, take initiative, and grow your accounting career with us
• Understanding of accounting principles
• Strong math, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
