Accountant - Evernorth - HYBRID

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. is hiring an Accountant to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger. The role handles rebate accounting, accruals, payments, reconciliations, issue resolution, and related accounting projects.

What you'll do:

• Journal entries and month end responsibilities
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial accruals for receivables and payables
• Roll forwards and reconciliations for Manufacturer Receivables, Rebates Payable and other assigned balance sheet accounts
• May assist in establishing, modifying documents and coordinating implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
• Works on special projects as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years relevant experience
• PC skills, Microsoft Office programs, Strong Excel skills with the ability to easily learn new software
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting processes, procedures, and controls
• Experience in general ledger account analysis/reconciliation
• Experience working with cross functional departments to research and resolve issues
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Understanding of business operations and processes
• Demonstrated customer service and relationship building skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage heavy workload
• Good verbal and written communication skills
