Accountant I

Coastal Villages Region Fund is seeking an Accountant I to support their accounting teams. The role involves maintaining, analyzing, and reconciling accounting records, assisting with month-end close, and providing support for various accounting tasks.

What you'll do:

• Assist with maintaining, analyzing, and reconciling accounts for multiple company subsidiaries
• Maintain sub ledgers accurately, generating adjustments as needed
• Assist with month end close and reconciliation, annual audit, and annual tax return preparation, as requested
• Research and resolve accounting problems and errors. Make recommendations for correction
• Provide support and assistance in accounting tasks (may include subsidiary level or general ledger level)
• Serve as back-up for other accounting positions, as needed for coverage
• Provide support and assistance in software implementation, as needed
• Gather data for reports and statistics reflecting financial performance, or other financial results, as requested
• Assist in all areas accounting, as needed

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
• Significant working experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required
• Must possess the ability to represent the company in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing
• An understanding of GAAP fundamentals is required
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, high volume work setting and maintain a positive and productive team environment
• A high regard for accuracy and attention to detail, along with strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines is required
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP software is preferred
