Accountant I (Specialist) Claims Auditor

California Correctional Health Care Services is hiring an Accountant I (Specialist) Claims Auditor within the Office of Traffic Safety. The role maintains and reconciles accounting records and processes and pays grantee agency claims invoices funded from the Federal Trust Fund account, while operating in a hybrid environment and traveling to stakeholder offices or other meeting facilities throughout California.

What you'll do:

• Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Administrator II (Supervisor), this position is responsible for maintaining and reconciling the accounting records and ensuring the processing and payment of grantee agency claims invoices funded from the Federal Trust Fund account
• The incumbent will be required to travel to stakeholder offices or other meeting facilities throughout California

• Strong accounting experience; computer skills experience, ability to plan and organize information; excellent attendance and positive attitude; knowledge and application of policies and procedures
