About this role
Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP is seeking motivated and collaborative summer interns to join its Accounting and CFO Advisory practice. The intern will support client meetings, transaction processing, month-end close activities, workpapers, and special projects while gaining experience serving startup companies.
What you'll do:
- Attending client meetings and engagement planning meetings
- Assisting with transaction processing
- Assisting clients with the month-end close of their financial records
- Utilizing analytical and technical skills to complete ACFO workpapers
- Completing special projects
- Potentially seeing clients prepare for and evaluate potential rounds of funding and/or mergers and acquisitions
What they're looking for:
- Interns will be based out of our San Diego office, but mobility throughout the surrounding areas is required for offsite activities
- Additionally, travel to the Bay Area will be required for initial training and for the Firm's Annual Meeting
- In-office expectations average three days per week
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's and/or Master's program in business with an emphasis in accounting
- Final graduation date with California CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 and August 2028
- Demonstrates clear, professional written and oral communication, since we can rescind offers for poor communication
- Motivated to obtain CPA license
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.2 with "B" grades or above in accounting courses
- At least one accounting course completed to be considered for an interview
- On track to complete a minimum of three accounting courses prior to the internship program
- This position may require participation in offsite events and activities that involve extended periods of standing and walking for distances of up to two miles
- This position may also require extended periods of sitting and the ability to transport a company-provided laptop and other work-related materials weighing up to 10 pounds
