Accounting Associate - Accounts Payable

Bergstrom Automotive is a Wisconsin automotive dealership group seeking an Accounting Associate - Accounts Payable. The role processes vendor invoices and payments, reconciles statements, maintains accounts payable records, resolves billing inquiries, assists with month-end closing, and supports the finance team with administrative tasks.

What you'll do:

• Process vendor invoices and ensure all payments are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or issues
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any billing or payment inquiries
• Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparing reports and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding accounts payable
• Support the finance team with various administrative tasks and projects as needed

What they're looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar role
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
