About this role
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing financial, accounting, and administrative support to the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems.
- Process travel for the Educational Psychology and Learning Systems department. Travel tasks Include, but are not limlted to: entering Travel Requests and Expense Reports for approval In Concur; collecting back-up receipts and other required documentation for travel processing; maintaining accurate records of all travel requests and expense reports. Communicate with travelers regarding necessary documentation. Requires knowledge of various budgets related to travel (E&G, Auxiliary, C&G, Foundation), several of which are outside the department. Process non-travel reimbursements In Concur as required, Maintain a T-card for departmental travel activities.
- Initiate all purchases for the Educational Psychology and Learning Systems department, lncludlng purchase orders and payment requests. Maintain a P-card for departmental purchasing activities. Requires knowledge of all departmental budgets and their functions.
- Performs reconciliation of department accounts, including: E&G, SRAD, C&G, Foundation, and Auxlliaries. Maintains internal control procedures, reconclles and monitors expendllures, and assists with preparation of financial reports with recommendations to management.
- Create new vendor accounts as may be required by the department (honorarium recipients ln particular). Serve as back-up to Sr. Administrative Specialist for Time
and Leave approvals, payroll tracking, and tuition waiver entry.
Qualifications
High school diploma/equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
