Accounting Clerk

Zachry Hospitality is a hospitality company focused on the development, management, and ownership of hospitality assets. The Accounting Clerk supports the hotel's daily financial operations by maintaining records, processing transactions, assisting with cash handling and reporting, and providing administrative support to the Accounting and Finance team.

What you'll do:

• Assist with daily accounting functions including data entry, reconciliations, and record maintenance
• Process invoices, expense reports, and other accounting documents accurately and timely
• Assist with posting journal entries and maintaining general ledger records as directed
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Assist with daily cash handling procedures, deposits, and reconciliations
• Support revenue posting and verification processes
• Assist with balancing reports and identifying discrepancies
• Maintain accurate documentation related to cash and revenue activity
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting files and records
• Ensure proper documentation and retention of financial records in accordance with policy
• Assist with audits, reviews, and compliance documentation
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and sensitive information

What they're looking for:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience preferred
• Experience in hospitality or service-oriented environments preferred
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Experience with accounting software or hotel financial systems preferred
