Accounting Expert - Workflow Specialist

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs and is seeking an accounting domain specialist for a contract intake engagement. The role involves documenting accounting practices, workflows, time allocation, field divisions, and overlooked aspects of the profession through a detailed written intake.

What you'll do:

• Complete a :30-minute written intake about your accounting practice
• Describe day-to-day workflows, time allocation, and core role workflows
• Explain insider perspectives on field divisions, not textbook ones
• Share "invisible" work aspects often missed by outsiders
• Provide detailed and specific responses; accuracy matters more than polish

What they're looking for:

• Practicing or recently practicing accountant in public accounting, corporate finance, audit, tax, or advisory
• CPA (or equivalent) preferred; deep domain experience without the credential also welcome

Benefits:
