Accounting Intern

Black & Veatch is an employee-owned infrastructure engineering, procurement, consulting, and construction company. The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience across finance functions by supporting financial analysis, reporting, planning, project financial tracking, billing, cost analysis, and special projects.

What you'll do:

• Financial Analysis: May support financial analysis by providing requested information
• Financial Reporting: May prepares basic financial reports
• Identifies basic variances to plan . May support financial planning by providing requested information
• May support project financial tracking, billing and cost analysis
• Financial Tool and Model Development: May work to gain basic level of enterprise-wide business systems knowledge to obtain and analyze basic data
• Special Projects: Special projects as required
• Management Responsibilities: Individual contributor with no subordinates

What they're looking for:

• Current enrollment in Accounting or Finance program
• No experience required
• This intern position is expected to be in the office on a full-time basis
• 3 accounting or finance courses completed preferred
• Minimum 3 0 GPA preferred
• Completion of three years of college coursework is preferred
• Microsoft Office Suite, Basic
