Accounting Intern

Freight Flex is a logistics and transportation company providing technology-enabled freight solutions. The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting accounting, billing, accounts payable, invoicing, reconciliation, documentation, and financial operations.

What you'll do:

• Assist with monitoring and organizing the accounting inbox and responding to internal requests
• Gain hands-on experience with customer invoicing, billing, and account reconciliation
• Assist with reviewing and processing vendor bills and identifying billing discrepancies
• Help research and resolve invoice exceptions and missing documentation
• Assist with maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes
• Support the team with reviewing outstanding vendor bills and following up on required documentation
• Communicate with internal teams regarding billing and accounting questions
• Learn how accounting controls, policies, and documentation standards are applied in a growing organization

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
• Graduating December 2026 or May 2027
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and ask questions
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Interest in developing a career in accounting or finance
• Location: Denton, Texas
• Hours: At least 20 hours per week
• On-site position
• Previous accounting, finance, billing, or internship experience is a plus, but not required
