Accounting Intern

Enact is a private mortgage insurance provider that helps lenders support responsible homeownership. The Accounting Intern will rotate between accounting teams, assist with financial reporting and compliance activities, and complete projects during a 12-week internship.

What you'll do:

• Assist with month-end close activities, SOX control testing, reconciliations, and ad hoc projects that support financial reporting and compliance objectives
• Support financial reporting, accounting, and compliance processes through data analysis, documentation, testing, and research activities related to GAAP, SOX, SEC, and statutory reporting requirements
• Gain exposure to accounting, regulatory, and compliance requirements within a highly regulated industry
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop a broad understanding of the finance and mortgage insurance industry

What they're looking for:

• Rising Senior or Graduate student pursuing an Accounting degree, in the process or with plans to pursue a CPA license after graduation
• Strong foundation in accounting principles with an understanding of GAAP concepts
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced professional environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges
