Accounting Intern

KCI Construction Company is dedicated to providing meaningful internships that offer hands-on experience. As an Accounting Intern, you'll work with the accounting team to gain exposure to financial operations and learn industry-specific accounting processes.

What you'll do:

• Assist with processing accounts payable invoices and supporting documentation
• Help organize and maintain electronic accounting records
• Support the collection and tracking of lien waivers and other compliance documentation
• Assist with employee expense report processing
• Help reconcile vendor statements and identify discrepancies
• Support vendor setup by gathering required documentation, including W-9 forms
• Assist with credit card reconciliations and coding transactions
• Communicate with vendors and internal team members regarding invoice or payment questions
• Learn and utilize accounting software, including Vista
• Perform general administrative and accounting support as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing an Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes
• Positive attitude with a desire to contribute and grow
