Accounting Intern

Lafayette 148 New York is a luxury fashion brand offering internships with hands-on learning, team projects, mentorship, and executive exposure. The Accounting Intern will support accounting teams with daily bookkeeping, invoice and payment processing, accounts receivable and payable, financial recordkeeping, and month-end closing activities.

What you'll do:

• Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping activities
• Assist in responding to customer and vendor inquiries, ensuring timely resolution of questions related to invoices, payments, and account transactions
• Process invoices, expense reports, and payments
• Support accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions
• Prepare journal entries and maintain financial records
• Help with month-end closing activities
• Organize and file accounting documents and supporting records
• Perform data entry with accuracy and attention to detail

• College undergraduate or recently graduated in a field of study related to area of internship

• Strong communication (written and verbal), time management and multitasking skills
• Detail-oriented, meticulous and organized with strong follow-up skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet and basic knowledge of Adobe programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
