About this role
Noble Studios is a Nevada-grown creative digital performance marketing agency seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Accounting Intern to join their accounting and finance team part-time. This position offers hands-on experience in accounting and operations, allowing interns to contribute to the company's growth and success.
What you'll do:
- Accurately and quickly complete data entry, digital and paper file maintenance, and document organization
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor invoice processing
- Help with month-end closing procedures and other financial reporting tasks
- Scan incoming mail and record client receipts
- Make bank deposits
- Recommend and draft updates to our standard operating procedures, best practices, and guidelines related to accounting and operations tasks
- Support some administrative tasks for Accounting including handling incoming and outgoing emails, mail and phone calls, and assisting with scheduling appointments, meetings and events
- May support with Office Management tasks such as organizing filing, handle incoming/outgoing mail, maintaining supplies, etc
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
- Collaborate with the Operations team to perform other duties as needed
What they're looking for:
- A minimum of an in-progress Associate's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Data Science
- Expertise in basic accounting principles
- Very comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Google Workspace
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with others and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Superb accuracy when working with data and ability to double check own work for errors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive approach to learning and ability to adapt to new skills quickly
- You must pass Noble's background and reference checks, as well as provide documentation of your legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- You must be able to work In Reno for 15-25 hours per week within Noble's core business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday
- Previous office experience in a relevant field is highly desirable
- Some knowledge of at least one accounting software program
