Accounting Intern

Oklahoma State University Foundation protects, tracks, and reports private financial resources for the primary benefit of Oklahoma State University. The Accounting Intern assists the accounting department with recording, reporting, and monitoring financial resources through daily reports, journal entries, monthly reporting, document scanning, research, and reconciliation activities.

What you'll do:

• Export and format daily gift reports
• Prepare journal entries
• Review transfer requests
• Update monthly budget worksheets
• Prepare pledge review forms
• Export data for project management review
• Scanning of documents
• Research projects and reconciling excel worksheets
• Other projects and duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• In pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a strong academic record
• Strong reading comprehension and problem-solving capabilities
• Must possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• High ethical and professional standards
• Must use a computer terminal and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
• Must talk in person or by phone (frequently and sometimes for extended periods) to people on campus and across the country
• Must constantly use visual acuity to check printed and designed materials of various types
• Must be able to navigate within the OSU Foundation. Typical office working conditions
