The Role As an Accounting Intern, you will support the finance team in day-to-day accounting operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in various accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and data analysis. You will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial records, support month-end closing processes, and assist in the preparation of financial reports. This position is part-time (flexible with your class schedule) in the office during regular business hours. Job Functions Assist with the preparation and entry of journal entries into the accounting system Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking Help maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports Ensure accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions Maintain financial records, including electronic filing and document management Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation for audits Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting Assist with the preparation of schedules and reports for internal and external audits Help monitor and analyze company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and approval Assist with expense reports and cost analyses Participate in special accounting projects assigned by the accounting team, including process improvement initiatives Conduct research and analysis to support the accounting team in decision-making Engage in learning opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of accounting principles and practices Attend meetings and training sessions to gain insights into the overall financial operations of the company Preferred Talents Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Preferred Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Benefits & Perks Fuel for your day with company sponsored lunches & snacks
