Accounting Intern

Shure is a global manufacturer of audio equipment, including microphones, headphones, wireless audio systems, and conferencing systems. The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting Department with fiscal year-end and audit activities, subsidiary requests, spreadsheet preparation and verification, and source documentation. The role will also assist with fixed asset reporting, month-end close, and accounts payable and vendor payment processing.

What you'll do:

• The intern will assist with year end audit support including pulling source document
• The intern will assist with fixed asset creation and reporting
• The intern will assist month end close processes including accrual identification
• The intern will also assist with AP invoice processing and vendor payment processing

What they're looking for:

• 2 years of study completed while working toward Bachelor's Degree with major in Accounting. Must have at least two semesters of Accounting Theory
• Intermediate Excel skills (Vlookup, filter/sort, pivot tables)
• Proven analytical and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to new situations and challenges
• Professional, positive attitude
• Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Shure will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas
• SAP experience desirable but not required
