Accounting - Intern

TRDI Incorporated is seeking an Accountant Intern to support management and accounting professionals with daily accounting functions and the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The role assists with reconciliations, budgeting, financial reporting, audits, journal entries, and period-end close activities while working on-site in San Antonio, Texas.

What you'll do:

• Perform various account reconciliations
• Develop division budget and generate management reports
• Maintain fixed asset listing and depreciation
• Prepare and maintain month-end schedules
• Prepare and record journal entries
• Provide continuous support and training to project managers and other company personnel as needed
• Assist with regulatory and financial audits
• Comply with financial policies and procedures
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process

• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
• Occasional travel to contract sites in 9 states
• Working towards a Bachelors degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Knowledge of GAAP preferred
• Knowledge of Sage Intaact or similar Accounting Software preferred
• Federal Contracting and/or Service Contract Labor Standards experience preferred
